How confident are you really?
Let's stop pretending confidence is something you either have - or you don't. I rode this Harley across France last summer. Did I have doubts? Absolutely. Did that little voice show up? Oh yeah! "Are you sure about this? Is this really you?"
But here's what I've learned - working with Senior Leaders at the top of their game, and living it myself:
Confidence isn't the absence of doubt. It's deciding to move anyway. That voice doesn't go away. You just stop giving it the wheel.
Here's a practice for you; Every morning, before the noise starts, ask yourself: "How do I choose to show up today?". Then lead from that place. Never loose sight of your North Star. It's always there, even when the road ahead isn't clear.
